Fox Lake Spring Festival of Crafts 2021

Fox Lake Park, Titusville

On March 27, 2021 our president Joanne Fisher, Jay Heavner, and Jessica Broyles all had booths at the festival. Everyone sold books and interacted with readers, and it seems to have been a success. If you couldn’t be there, you were missed. If you want to sell books, this is a good venue to do so, and to get the Guild known in the community.

A Great Review!

Everyone Needs A Good Review

Joanne Fisher just received a great review of her book, Magnolia Plantation. Some time back, she ran across professional book critic Gary Roen, who agreed to review Joanne’s book. Gary published his review today, on Gary Roen’s Bookshelf at Midwest Book Review. See the review at MBR: MBR Bookwatch, June 2021 (midwestbookreview.com). Let’s give Joanne a big High Five!

October Showcase

From Cover Designer Tamian Wood

For October’s project, I did a little pro bono work for a classmate and cancer survivor. This “thumbnail” image will advertise their masterclass about thriving through chemo treatment using an arsenal of skills including nourishing nutrition, movement and meditation, support with community and connection to mind, body and spirit. I think we managed to capture all those things in the logo I created, and the “thumbnail” banner. It’s a beautiful message, and I wish them all the best in their endeavour.
