Bill has been writing humorous stories for kids from ages 9 to 90 since the 1980s and has been a member of the SCWG since the late 1990s. In the early years, he served multiple terms on the SCWG Board and was the webmaster back when webmasters weren’t much of a thing. In 2021, he and his wife, Nancy, moved out of Florida and now live in Tennessee, close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Bill is best known for The Journals of Myrth, a humorous, three-book, middle-grade fantasy adventure series, published by Bell Bridge Books. He has also written three contemporary middle-school books  (The Orson Buggy series), a couple of stand-alone books, numerous short stories, and, as of 2026, an ongoing humorous suspense series for adults (The OFF series), with two books released and two more due before the end of the year.
