The 2026 Short Story Anthology Opens for Submissions on June 15th

A turning point is rarely loud in the moment it occurs. It is often quiet—an instant, a decision, a realization—that shifts everything that follows.

This year’s anthology invites both storytellers and poets to explore the moments that alter the course of a life. The turning point may arrive as a choice made or avoided, a truth revealed, a loss endured, or a spark of courage that changes everything. It may be dramatic or subtle, external or deeply internal—but it is always transformative.

Whether expressed through a short story or a poem, we welcome work that captures the pivot between what was and what will be—the fragile, powerful space where change begins, and nothing remains quite the same.

• Open: June 15th – August 15th
• Eligibility: The 2026 SCWG Anthology is open to all SCWG members in good standing
• Entry Fee: $10.00
