Bruce is a man of many pursuits—and just as many stories.

A friend to four Irish Wolfhounds, a devoted father, and a self-proclaimed owner of a flock of turkeys, he brings a life rich in experience to everything he does. A fanatic kayak racer, he has competed in the grueling MR340 race across the state of Missouri.

His background is as varied as it is fascinating: four years in the USAF on a traveling electronics installation team, followed by seven adventurous years as a diver on the Air Force Eastern Test Range. He has climbed every dormant volcano on Ascension Island, competed in countless 24-hour paintball games, and still finds time for flintknapping, fishing, and archery (left-handed, no less).

Professionally, Bruce works as a fiber optic specialist at Kennedy Space Center. Along the way, he’s embraced both his strengths and his humor—readily admitting that spelling and grammar were never his strong suit, but storytelling certainly is.

A lover of history (and always ready to talk about it), Bruce brings curiosity, grit, and a sense of fun to his writing and to life.
